The restaurant is named after the gambero rosso, the prized red prawn of Sicily, and seafood has always been a core strength of this kitchen.

Our location in Falkirk gives us access to some of the freshest fish on the market.

Scallops, calamari, monkfish, sea bream, and king prawns all feature regularly, properly prepared and served delicious.

Steaks and grills

Steaks are cooked on the grill and served the way you ask for them.

Authentic Italian food in Falkirk

Falkirk has a handful of Italian restaurants, but Gambero Rosso is something different.

The kitchen was built around the recipes and techniques of a chef who grew up in southern Italy, eating the food his mother made. These homemade meals have shaped the restaurant for over 15 years, bringing authentic Italian cooking into the middle of Falkirk.

We’re independent, not part of a chain. This means the menu reflects what our kitchen does best and what our customers enjoy.

We don’t believe in cutting corners. All our quality ingredients are sourced carefully and prepared fresh with passion.

Welcome to our canal-side restaurant

Get a taste of Italy in the heart of Scotland.

Gambero Rosso is located right by the canal, inside a converted stone building with glass arches that carries the warmth and character of a traditional Italian farmhouse.

Inside, two floors of dining give you plenty of room to settle in.

Stone walls, heavy beams, leather booths, and the sound of families and friends getting together for a delicious meal.

When the sun comes out, our outdoor paved area opens up for some classic Italian al fresco dining alongside the canal. The outdoor area is welcome to dogs, so you can bring your whole family.

It’s popular on summer evenings and fills up fast. Booking ahead of time is always a good idea.

Where to find our Italian restaurant

Gambero Rosso is at 1 Burnbank Road, Falkirk, FK2 7PE, on the canal just north of Falkirk town centre.

We’re just a short five minute walk from Falkirk Grahamston station.

Or if you are getting here by car, we are just a 10 minute drive from the M9. Free off-street parking is available, with plenty of on-street parking around the restaurant and canal area too.

Coming from further afield? We’re just seven minutes from the Kelpies.

Your questions answered

Do I need to book a table?

Walk-ins are more than welcome. But for busier periods especially on Friday evenings and Saturday and Sundays, we always recommend booking to guarantee your spot.

Is there parking near the restaurant?

Yes. We have our own off-street parking, and when that’s full, there’s street parking on Burnbank Road and in the surrounding area. Falkirk town centre car parks are also within easy walking distance, and evening parking is free.

Do you cater for dietary requirements?

Yes, our servers will be more than happy to guide you through gluten-free and vegetarian options. For other allergies or dietary needs, let us know when you book and we’ll speak to the kitchen ahead of time.

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are welcome in our outdoor seating area along the canal. We don’t allow dogs inside the restaurant.
